Scenaria will change the general trend of CT.
Wish to scan wide area in short time and obtain images with high precision – there had been many technical obstacles to achieve this, such as the resolution degradation in the periphery of FOV due to the high-speed rotation of scanner. Our cutting-edge high-speed data sampling technologies with Scenaria realized 0.35s/rot scanning which can be used not only for cardiac scanning but also whole-body scanning.
Furthermore, the CORE method that enables high-pitch scanning.

2D anti-scatter collimator that reduces scattered X-Rays also from the direction of the body axis and the wide variety of dose reduction techniques we equipped.

High-speed scanning, high image quality and low exposure – Hitachi aims the CT system pursuing all of these capabilities without any compromise, and now Hitachio brings you a 64/128 - ch Multislice CT Scenaria. CORE method (3D Image reconstruction algorithm).

The CORE (Cone-beam Reconstruction) method optimizes the range of acquired data used for reconstruction per pixel. By using the whole range of the detector efficiently, more data can become usable compared to the Feldkamp method. Streak artifacts, which tend to be generated from the costal bone in high-pitch scanning and motion artifacts caused by the movement of the Intestinal tract cen be reduced remitting in good quality images.

2D-ASC (2D anti-scatter collimator)
Scattered X-rays increase as the width of the detector becomes wider, 2D-ASC cuts scattered X-rays not only in the channel direction but also in the body axis direction, Scenaria is the first 64/128-ch CT equipped with this technology. Moreover, X-rays are acquired at high efficiency with a convergence structure with which all channel openings face the focal spot realized by fine processing technology.

Constant noise level – SD mode The tube current is optimized In a 3D direction (X-Y-Z) based on Information on the size of the patient obtained from scanogram and preset target SD. This allows producing mages at a constant noise level which does not vary depending on the scan region and enables scanning in which a trade-off of images quality and exposure is taken into consideration.

Constant ratio of contrast and noise – CNR mode Generally, identification of tissues is possible If the contrast between the tissues is large, even if image noise is large too, and therefore. It may be possible to reduce the dose. The CNR mode is enabled on Scenaria with an advanced database, which is considering contrast between tissues and tissue identification.

Since contrast between tissues becomes larger particularly when the size of the patient is relatively small or tube voltage is low, more reduction of dose can be expected compared with SD mode.

Improvement of spatial resolution using the table lateral slide SCENARA enables the lateral slide mechanism which has enhanced flexibility in the lateral direction of the table. By positioning the scanning region in the center of rotation, spatial resolution is expected to be improved.

Less exposure at cardiac study A Cardiac Bow-tie Filter (X-ray compensaton filter) is equipped as a standard. As this enables narrow X-ray beam than the filter for the body by using it togethcr with the table lateral sl'ide mechanism exposure can be reduced by about 1/4 for whole ares (inside and outside of the FOV) and about 1/3 for outside the FOV.

Auto-setting of optimal scanning condition Optimal scanning conditions are automatically set following the analysis of the cardiac rate during preparation for scanning. Operations are simplified such that the number of the data acquisition segment is automatical determined by the system from the heart rate at the time of scanning.

Hyper Q-Net S Hyper Q-Net S is the image analysis software, which allows network connects with the Scenaria operator's console. Image data are automatically transferrer to the terminal of Hyper Q-Net S in the background which enables analysis processing in parallel with scanning. Various 3D analysis and MPR, moreover CEVCPR (blood vessel analysis) are standard. All of these applications have the same operability as the consolc can be operated without any stress. Furthermore, various optlonal applications can be used, as with the console.
